理科離れ

敢えて極端なことを書いてみる。理科離れは勉強離れに止まらず、生活離れだと思う。私は科学リテラシー＝生活リテラシーだと考えるし、生活はありとあらゆる場面で自然科学と結びついている。また、今の我々の生活は技術とは切り離せない。電力の供給が止まっても生活できる自活力のある人がどれだけいるだろうか。 ……ってところが、今の時点での「『科学リテラシー』が全国民に必要なのはなぜ？」と問われた時の私の回答になるのかな。まだまだ浅く、ツッコミどころが多いけど。
